Chili con carne is a very cheap meal to make and quite delicious. It might seem that it takes a long time to cook, but it is not work intensive. It nicely blends all the Mexican ingredients into a protein rich meal that can be served with anything from tortilla chips to baked tortilla wraps, rice or just eat it by itself if you need a low carb option.
