Pears are one of my favorite fruits to snack on, but I like their taste even more when they are cooked, so I try all the time to invent any possible pear cake every time I buy pears.
This cake I made is super easy, I was ready with the preparation in under 10 min, it is not sweet, but flavorful and very moist.
Here’s the very simple recipe!
Pear cake
Preparation time: 10 min
Baking time: 30 min
Difficulty: easy
Ingredients for a rectangular form of 26 cm
- 160 g of flour
- 100 g of butter
- 2 tsps of baking powder
- 3 medium eggs
- 2 pears
- 1 tbsp of sugar
- a pinch of salt
- 1 tsp of cinnamon
Directions
- Mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and pinch of salt.
- Bring the butter to room temperature and mix it with the tablespoon of sugar.
- Mix the flour bowl with the butter and add the eggs one by one.
- At the end add the pears cut into small cubes. Leave the skin on.
- Add the mixture in a tray that is layered with butter and flour.
- Bake it at 180 C for 30 min or until a toothpick comes out dry.
- Enjoy it warm or cold. Keep it in the fridge once it gets cold. It is a moist cake and it will go bad if you keep it for too long at room temperature. It is not going to be a sweet cake, since it contains very little sugar, but the cinnamon together with the pears give it a very nice flavor and it will definitely feel like eating a real cake.
